Don’t prepare food hungry. Feed you before preparing food. I just learned this with practice. But, despite knowing this for many years, whenever I repeat the sequence of eating before and not eating, noticing the gain, this learning becomes more solid in my memory.
Now, read again the first sentence, changing “prepares a meal” to “meditates”. It’s exactly the same. In other words, learning to meditate is endless.
You don’t need to make mistakes to learn, just do it and repeat. Another thing, the most dangerous thing in a kitchen is a cordless knife. Want to make mistakes to learn this? I don’t think so, hehe.
Who notices is the brain. He makes his decisions by a combination of reason and emotion, not just reason, as was once imagined. Often, these decisions are driven only by emotion, without the participation of reason.
Unlike a subject we learn in class, meditation does not have a fixed or permanent structure, it is like a jelly. It doesn’t come from reason alone. But yes, a combination of reason and emotion. Exercising this combination is meditating.
This combination is only done in the unconscious. The result of this combination is the fruit of meditation, which is only noticed and used some time later in the conscious, for the reason.
Many people have meditated and don’t know it. I didn’t know that I had already meditated before practicing. Now I know, but I didn’t realize it before.
