I think meditation is an inappropriate name. Meditative State is a more proper name. This scene up there lasts less than a second and I classify it as meditation. I will explain below:
By focusing only on appreciating my mate, I completely ignore the past and the future and focus only on the present.
And this present is filled only by feeling. Without any interference from reason. That is, it is genuinely a meditative state.
However, because it takes less than a second, the popular description does not classify this as meditation.
If, after finishing the process of preparing my rich mate, everything fell on the floor (grass, bowl, kettle …), I would look at the floor and think “Clumsy!” and give a laugh.
If I let reason invade my mind at that time, I would freak out.
The benefits brought by this meditative state are obvious. And they loomed over me over time.
